The renovation of an apartment required the design of a stair connecting the main living area to a small loft office. The various elements of the installation were designed and detailed with aluminum, wood and steel cable and required the collaboration of several trades.
A Colorado based manufacturer of loading dock stairs fabricated the anodized aluminum stringers, rail supports and base plates to site-specific dimensions, which were then set and anchored by the General Contractor; the white oak treads and handrail were furnished and installed by the cabinetmaker, while the cable railing was ordered online and installed by Daedalus Workshop.
