One of several upgrades to this house for a family of four was the design and installation of a bench and fabric wall panel in the dining area. For the bench, a 10’ long, 2” thick slab of sandblasted acrylic is anchored to a frame assembled from custom milled aluminum plates, rods and thru-bolts. The wall panel consists of a designer fabric sewn together and stretched over a wood frame with infill batting.
Designed and installed by Daedalus Workshop with minimal tolerances and strict specifications, the project required close coordination between the acrylics shop, metal workers and textile designers.
